Pella Hy-Vee Raises Hundreds in Holiday Food Drive

KNIA/KRLS partnered with the Pella Hy-Vee to make a dent in local hunger as part of the annual Holiday Food Drive.

Store Director Derek Sparks tells KRLS News the store raised approximately $1400 for the Pella Community Food Shelf through fuel saver vouchers in exchange for donations, as well as totes and trees sold. Hy-Vee matched an additional $500 to help reach the latest total.

The KNIA/KRLS Holiday Food Drive continues with events this month throughout South Central Iowa, with the Big Red Radio and Lil’ Big Red Radio making stops at local events and businesses.
