Pleasantville Girls Demolish Albia, Boys Fall Short

The Pleasantville basketball teams faced off with Albia Saturday in a pair of non-conference matchups and came away with a split.

The girls dominated from start to finish winning 50-21. The Trojans broke out to a 20-5 lead after the first and 28-9 at half before coasting the rest of the way. The boys’ team had a fourth quarter comeback fall short losing 49-42 to the Blue Demons. The girls improve to 6-3 on the year while the boys drop to 2-5.

Both teams get back on the court tomorrow hosting Interstate-35.
