DETROIT, May 1, 2025 ~ The sixth seeded Detroit Pistons couldn’t come up clutch at the end of game six of the first round of the NBA Playoffs, losing the game 116-113 and the series 4-2 to the third seeded New York Knicks Thursday night at Little Caesars Arena.
Knicks All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson had his best game of the series, scoring a game-high 40 points, including the go-ahead 3-pointer with four seconds on the clock.
Detroit shooting guard Malik Beasley had a chance to tie the game as the seconds ticked away, but the runner up for NBA’s Sixth Man of the Year lost the ball and the chance to save the season. Beasley played big minutes throughout the night off the bench, scoring 20 points off six shots from beyond the arc.
