The Crookston High School Clay Target team is in fifth place after the fourth week of competition last week. Crookston shooters turned in their second-best score of the season and are currently within 121 points of fourth place. They had to battle the weather and had a 30-minute delay last week due to a lightning delay. “Once we got out to shoot, it was a warm, calm evening, great for shooting. The students did well and seemed to have lots of fun once it was safe to shoot. They also seem to be moving in the right direction on the mental aspect of the sport and only thinking about the next target coming, which is good,” said Crookston Coach Randy Prudhomme. “Looking forward I think we all are a little sad the end of the season is coming but happy that the tournaments are here. We had some scores slip and some score improve but nothing to concerning.”
Crookston didn’t have any male shooters in the top 25 of the conference this week.
