DETROIT, June 29, 2025 ~ The 2025 Rocket Classic at the Detroit Golf Club ended in stunning fashion similar to 2024, except this time it took Aldrich Potgieter five playoff holes to be crowned champion. Chris Kirk and Max Greyserman both took Potgeiter into overtime with a -22 score, but Potgieter outlasted them all to take the $9.6 million purse.

Kirk had the opportunity to take home the win on the second playoff hole, but missed a near four-foot putt on hole 18 to leave it to Potgieter and Greyserman.

DGC will undergo a $16 million course renovation on Monday, June 30 in preparation for the 2026 Rocket Classic which will take place later in the PGA Tour schedule, from July 30-Aug. 2.
